A Time to Be

This is from my favorite song writers Blog
It seemed to say all that I am feeling these days.
Time to be. Time to rest. Time to remember and time to forget. Time will come and go as we will but people and the beasts will always have these fleeting moments to choose all of these amazing choices in this weird world. I suppose I will just want to look back one day and be grateful for how I chose to spend my spare moments. I will be taking that more seriously in these years to come. These spare moments have gotten to be few and far. And so I love this season. It is Northern California’s most beautiful as well as it’s warmest time of year.

 One of My favorite Poems By Robert Frost

Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Life is as the seasons, full of color and change.
Take time to find joy in each and every day.
Dance in the rain, sing in the shower and laugh until you cry.
Enjoy the changes that come with growing older and wiser.
Most of all take time to be Happy.

INSPIRATIONAL ONLY JESUS POEM

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Only Jesus
Only Jesus can make a sad heart glad
the only one who can give the best joy you ever had
He fills the hungry heart to satisfied and full
the only one who can redeem the sinful soul

Only Jesus can wash our sins away
the only one who can turn the night into day
He will always say "I forgive you"
the only one who can change a heart to make it new
Only Jesus can comfort you when you need a friend
the only one who stays with you to the end
He is always on duty caring for his sheep
the only one who loves so tenderly and deep
Only Jesus can heal a broken heart
the only one who shares our sorrows and takes a part
He is the savior who knows our deepest woes
the only one who gives victory over all our foes
Only Jesus can dry away our tears
the only one who calms all our fears
He is always there to strengthen in times of need
the only one to follow as he does guide and lead
Only Jesus can see the lonesome heart and void
the only one who can fill it to overjoyed
He is always there to hear our pleadings and request
the only one who gives perfect peace and rest.

Jacinta Marto and the Our Lady of Fatima Prayer

"I love Our Lord so much! At times, I seem to have a fire in my heart,
but it does not burn me."
  Jacinta Marto

When I was baptised as a catholic in my twenties I chose the name Jacinta as my spiritual name. Jacinta Marto was one of the three children who witnessed the Blessed Mother in Portugal.

The Blessed Mother Mary appeared to the three children in Fatima Portugal. The three children who witnessed the Blessed Mother were LĂșcia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto . The Virgin Mary wearing white appeared to the children on the 13th day of the month for six consecutive months in 1917. The sitings began on May 13th and ended On October 13th.

I often believe that she appeared to these children due to their innocence, open mind and caring hearts. If the Blessed Mother had appeared to an adult they may have questioned the reality of this vision or could have been afraid to share her appearance with others due to the fear of being ridiculed.

Jacinta's life was not an easy one as she was harassed and called a liar by many as they did not believe that she really witnessed the Blessed Mother. Jacinta continued to pray and to remain strong in her faith right up to the last hours of her life. Jacinta had gotten very ill with severe pneumonia and pleurisy. She suffered a great deal and had to have surgery to remove two ribs. It is said that she welcomed death as she knew she would then be able to see her loving Father Jesus.

Jacinta was born in the village of Aljustrel, parish of Fatima, in Portugal. She was born on March 11, 1910. Young Jacinta went to be with the Lord on February 20th, 1920

All though young Jacinta was only on this earth for a very short time she left us with such a beautiful legacy of love and devotion for God and the Blessed Mother.  The Beloved Our Lady of Fatima and young Jacinta will forever hold a dear place in my heart.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF FATIMA

O Most Holy Virgin Mary,
Queen of the most holy Rosary,
you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima
and reveal a glorious message.
We implore you,
inspire in our hearts a fervent love
for the recitation of the Rosary.
By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption
that are recalled therein
may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask,
through the merits of Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Redeemer.

Ten years of Tears 9-11 Anniversary

This week has been a very somber week for so many with the anniversary of 9/11 upon us. This past week has also been difficult as many family and friends have had loved ones go home to be with the Lord in Heaven.
I came across a  song called rain and it reminded me of all the tears shed over the past 10 years. What beauty and compassion we all share as humans. No matter our race, age or status we all care deeply and that only comes from God giving us such deep Hearts that feel pain when we see another suffering. Through all the sadness I feel a sense of beauty in the bond that we as humans have for one another.

Watching the television or hearing the media events can bring out so many different emotions. Let us come together and offer prayers for all of the lives that were taken and for those who have been left broken hearted. May we give thanks as well to God for each life that was spared in this tragic event.   May we honor those who were heros, may we never forget that we are so very lucky to live in the Land of the free and the home of the Brave. Let us take care of each other, let us love this earth and never forget each day is a gift.

Tonight I say may God wipe your
tears, strengthen you from your fears, grant you love and may you know that God is with you through it all.
May you always Feel his love and presence.      deb

Angels are those who Whisper Quietly

Angels are those who whisper quietly into your heart when the world seems to be going way to fast. They tell you to slow down and take a breath. To remember the joys deep inside your soul. They remind us that we are still the same ambitious person that mattered to so many years ago. They whisper that growing old is not a sin yet a gift from God. They remind us that wisdom gained from past heart break can transform us into a wiser more gentle being. They say the scars that we carry on the inside are actually badges of courage and honor. Angels remind us that we can be truly beautiful even when we are aged and carry around one broken wing.

Remind us once again my angel, whisper sweetly that one day we will soar high again. Let us dream that our tired bodies will fly boldly amongst the stars in the sky and feel the radiating warmth upon our face as the Love from God’s heart shines upon us.

I do believe in angels ~May we fly together one day.

Good Night Prayer to the Blessed Mother Mary

Night is falling dear Mother, long day is o'er;
Before thy image I am kneeling once more
To thank thee for keeping me safe this day,
To ask thee this night to keep evil away.
Many times have I fallen Mother dear;
Many graces neglected since last I knelt here;
Wilt thou not in pity, my own Mother Mild,
Ask Jesus to pardon the sins of thy child?
I am going to sleep now, day's work is done;
Its hours and its moments have passed one by one.
God Who will judge me, has counted them all;
He has numbered each grace, He has counted each fall;

In His book they are written against the last day.
Oh! Mother Ask Jesus to wash them away.
For one drop of His Blood for sinners was spilt,
Is sufficient to cleanse the world of its guilt.

And if er' the dawn I should draw my last breath;
The sleep I take be the long sleep of death;
Be near me Mother for dear Jesus' sake.
When at eternity shore my soul shall awake.

Amen.

“Weeping may endure for a night,

but joy cometh in the morning. ”

(Psalms 30:5)

Prayer During a Bad Economy - Fish or Stones?

 What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

 During these difficult economic times we all seem to find ourselves watching our pennies. We may not eat out as much, were buying non brand foods, skipping the fancy coffees.  Many even sit and wonder how they will pay rent. Some wonder how they will be able put gas in the car to get to work.
Millions now ask themselves will I even have a job after this week?

  Times are tough and this causes stress and at times tempers flare. People in general are on edge more than ever before. Not everyone is in a "Gods Grace" state of mind. Many even are angry with God or say how could God do this to my family? When we encounter those who have lost hope or faith the best thing you can do is to pray for that person or with that person. Lift them up in prayer, offer love, offer compassion.

   If you have a garden offer a few items to a neighbor, flower garden leave a bunch of flowers on a doorstep. You can surprise a co worker with a simple note saying Hope your day is great or offer a smile.  If a loved one is stressed out sit down and be a good listener or offer to talk a walk.

 We all should remember  to treat our family as well as we would treat a stranger on the street or as kind as we do a co-worker.We have all heard the saying we hurt the ones we love. That saying is true as when were stressed out or tired it is easy to be short with a loved one.

 It is easy to give material gifts when the cash is flowing.  Some times  we need to go outside of our comfort zone to offer gifts from the heart. You may be pleasantly surprised that these non material gifts are truly treasured more than an item that is tossed into a closet or drawer. Gifts given with emotion and love are forever stored in the heart.

 To fully trust and have faith is very difficult to do when your in the midst of a horrible storm in your life but this is when you need to remember GOD will never give you less than what you really need. He will never forsake you, He loves you and cares for you. Pray with THE BELIEF that he has your best interest at heart and pray in KNOWING he will get you through to the next chapter in your life.

   *Let us all remember the treasures stored on earth will mean nothing when we leave this world. Let us take this time of weak economy and troubled times to remember the important things in life: Our family, our animals, our friends, our neighbors and our world. Let us offer charity, go back to gardening, Sunday family dinners or other traditions such as baking a cake for a friend just out of kindness.  Go back to the simplicity of life as it can be an amazing experience to slow down and just take it all in.

*Life is short let us love each and enjoy every single day.
Brighten a day and give from your heart. Remember God is always in control so let him take the wheel and drive your life into a peaceful and prosperous place. Prosperity is not always material items, or financial gain it is a sense of Grace, inner peace, love and the knowlege that God is with us always.

We often pray God please help me. While we should  pray God almighty I know you will help me!!!

(Matthew 6:20 )
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. (Deuteronomy 33:27)

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9-10)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:1-3)

Jesus My Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

The 23rd Psalm was one of the very first prayers I learned as a child. My Great Grandma Kate had a large tapestry of Jesus the Shepherd that hung on the wall in her bedroom.
As a little girl while chatting with my grandmother I would gaze up at this large image of Jesus. I knew even as a young girl that Jesus was loving and that I should honor him as my great grandma had.

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

John 10:14-15  “I am the good shepherd. I know my own sheep, and they know me just as my Father knows me and I know my Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep.”

THE 23RD PSALM
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

My Beattitudes Store & The Beatitudes of the Bible

 My personal Love for the Beatitudes came while reading the Bible during some personal losses or trials. As I sat reading the verses I realized that they were saying live a humble life, be kind, caring, forgivng and all though we may mourn losses in our lives one day will come where the pain and sorrow will be forever gone.
   The Beatitudes also clearly stated that when we stand up for what we believe in such as peace, abortion, a moral value or when we speak of Christ in daily conversations we will be judged or persecuted. We must remember God's promises in spite of persecution or hard times.
I do my very best to live my life according to the Beatitudes never allowing myself to hide my faith or who I really am in fear of being judged by others.
My store name Beattitudes Gifts  and is a reflection of God's Promises and also a reminder of the way that I should conduct myself each and every day.

WHAT DOES BEATITUDES MEAN OR WHERE DOES IT COME FROM
         Matthew 5:3-12

The word "beatitude" comes from the Latin beatitudo, meaning "blessedness." The phrase "blessed are" in each of the beatitudes implies a current state of happiness or well-being. The expression held powerful meaning of "divine joy and perfect happiness" to the people of the day.
In other words,Jesus was saying "divinely happy and fortunate are" those who possess these inward qualities. While speaking of a current "blessedness," each pronouncement also promises a future reward.

"Blessed are
the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

    Blessed are the pure of heart,
      for they shall see God. Blessed are the   peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of  God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
